I agree! Always nice to have a good laugh especially on a Monday. Photoshop can be a blessing or a curse and sure has caused a lot of legal issues even.

In an attempt to deter pesky bots and scripts site administrators turn to the captcha, those cryptic letter and numbercombos. You find them on forms, log in screens and other pages. See 'em. Type 'em. Everyone wins. Right? Not necessarily. Sometimes these random wordsand phrases become the perfect example of slightware - technology that does more brand damage than good.

The May Slightware Report - Who's Running the Register?

When most people visit the store, restaurant, or gas station, the receipt winds up in the trash can. But, have you ever really looked at what it says? I bet the manager never has. I bet the marketing department hasn't either.

Okay, okay. Some of these little slightware blurbs are caused by truncation and system limitations. Other times the software powering the register is simply in the wrong hands.
