For those of you are tired of the same look and feel while searching and browsing the web, try out some of these Visual Search Engines. A Visual Search Engine takes the outcome of your search and displays them visually (pictures mostly) in some format showing out the results.
Now depending on how much your eyes can take will help you choose which one will work best for you. They may not replace the regular results you get while using Google, Yahoo or MSN nor does it have the advertising PPC (pay per click) type of systems it seems but could make searching more fun!
Below are a 5 visual search engine we found to be really cool! We used the terms Zoo Washington DC to give you an idea.
SearchMe.com
This one didn’t give me what I was actually looking for at the beginning as I was expecting the Zoo link but had a nice slide show feel and did give me some relevant results.

Seach-cube.com
This had a very interesting display. As it found results the pictures would pop in one by one to form a cube. You hover over the photos in the cube to get more information. You used the arrow keys to turn the cube. I still didn’t get the main web site for the zoo and the visuals were mostly from YouTube and photos on the web.

Quintura.com
This is sort of a hybrid of what we know as results from a traditional search BUT with some visual clouds so to speak to further broaden your search. It also gave a pretty good result.

Viewzi.com
This gave spot on results to the search terms. As you hover over the results you can view the web page. Very easy to use and you can just hit the arrows to see even more results.

Kartoo.com
This one also gave spot on results and in even greater detail! In addition, it provided news and photo results you see on the left below. Each of the results seems to be exactly what I would want based my search terms. Also on the left, if you hit the arrows you can get other segmented results.
